GPJE

Founded in 1999, the Association for Civic Education Didactics and Civic Youth and Adult Education (GPJE) is the leading German academic organisation for the study of civic education. As such, it promotes a diverse community of scholars and a variety of topics related to civic education, by:

• facilitating scientific discourse, research and cooperation,

• supporting early career researchers, 

• organizing an annual main conference and multiple section conferences, 

• publishing a variety of materials relevant to the discipline, 

• advancing the discipline and supporting its expansion at universities.
